The first Thursday event happens Oct. 2 in the Reno Arts District
Feel the chill in the air as you walk through the Reno Arts District on Thursday evening for Art Walk Reno.
Stroll along the Truckee and throughout the downtown Arts District, where you can view the works of more than 40 local and regional artists in 17 galleries and alternative venues. Works on display, include: “The Celestials,” by Joan Giannecchini at Sierra Arts Gallery, large works by Bryce Chisholm at Singer Social Club, “Way Lines,” by Josie Luciano at Neapolitan Gallery, which is located inside Monolith bar, Susan Watson, at Hub Coffee Roasters on the River, and “Black Rock Press: Student Work,” at McKinley Arts and Culture Center.
The walk officially begins Oct. 2 at 5 p.m. at Liberty Fine Art Gallery, 100 West Liberty Street. There, you can purchase a ticket, for $10, which includes a glass, raffle ticket and program for the evening. Or purchase a limited-edition hand-painted glass by this month’s featured artist, Rachel Holton, for $15.
The event ends with a raffle drawing at ArtSpace gallery in West Street Market. Prizes include a $200.00 voucher good towards any piece of art shown on the walk.
Every month, Art Walk Reno gives a portion of the proceeds to a nonprofit, this month it will benefit Reno Little Theater.
