Reno Police and community helping make Reno one of the safest cities in America

The partnership between the Reno Police Department and the community is helping to make Reno one of the safest cities in America.

In a recent report by Business Insider, Reno, Nevada was listed as the 17th Safest City in America. The Business Insider advises they use the FBI’s latest report on crime and found the cities with violent crime rates substantially below the national average. The report highlights that Reno’s murder rate is 35% below average; rape rate 46% below average; and robbery rate 25% above average. “It is the mission of the Reno Police Department to safeguard the lives and property of those we serve, to reduce the incidence of crime and community problems, and to enhance public safety,” advises Reno Police Chief Steve Pitts. “By partnering with our community, we are continuing to create a safe city by providing the highest level of police services which improves the quality of life for our residents and visitors.”
