On March 13, 2013, the Reno City Council approved $40,000 in in-kind sponsorship for City services for the event which will cover the costs associated with public safety, traffic control, and city personnel. This year will be the third year that the City has partnered with Hot August Nights and the downtown Casino properties to allow beer garden concept for the entire footprint of the downtown venue. The partnerships between the City of Reno and the downtown properties have assisted with reducing City service costs overtime.
