The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is currently holding a recruitment drive for deputy sheriff recruit and lateral POST certified deputy sheriff applicants.
This drive is a great opportunity for men and women who are looking to pursue a career in law enforcement. Qualified applicants will enter a regional law enforcement academy scheduled to begin in January of 2014. Recruits will receive pay while attending the academy.
The application deadline for this recruitment is Friday, July 19.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old and a United States citizen, and have a high school diploma or the equivalent.

His office continues to be the only full service public safety agency operating within northern Nevada and is responsible for operating the consolidated detention facility, regional crime lab, Northern Nevada Counter Terrorism Center, Internet Crimes against Children Task Force, court security, service of civil process, traditional street patrols and Regional Animal Services.
