SAINT MARY’S HEALTH PLANS NEWS RELEASE – Saint Mary’s Health Plans and Scolari’s Food & Drug Company are once again partnering to host NuVal Nights on Friday. The goal of the monthly event is to help consumers understand nutritional labels and Scolari’s NuVal scoring system, which ranks similar products with a nutritional score.
“A healthy lifestyle begins with diet, and shopping wisely is an important step,” said Peggy Nipp, manager of SMHP’s Health Management department. “We love being out interacting with shoppers and enjoy helping people in their quest for healthy living.”
NuVal Nights will be held the third Friday of each month at various Scolari’s locations. This month’s event is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on March 15 at the Scolari’s located at 6255 Sharlands Avenue East.
A SMHP registered dietitian will be on hand to answer questions about smart shopping and nutritional values and will provide a complimentary recipe for a quick and healthy meal or snack. Shoppers can also participate in an in-store scavenger hunt to earn a coupon for $10 off of a $65 purchase.
