WASHOE COUNTY NEWS RELEASE
The Reno Justice Court has expanded its hours of operation and is now open to the public 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
While the RJC is still operating below pre-recession staffing levels and far below the state average for similar sized courts, it’s now able to offer greater public access than many other courts throughout the state.
“The court’s employees, like many in the community, have been asked to do more with less and they have responded tremendously to the challenge.” said Chief Judge Scott Pearson. “But we’ve become more efficient due to an aggressive cross-training policy implemented by our administrator and a talented group of employees. Our court understands we are the people’s court, and the people need timely access to the court to feel justice is being served. We are all very proud to offer these expanded hours.”
