After 10 long weeks of grueling training, strict diets and sore bodies, Christina Botnen, Katie La Pointe and Kim Tracy have reached the end of The Biggest Winner — the Saint Mary’s Center for Health & Fitness’ 10-week weight-loss challenge.
The three women began their journey to better health and fitness on Jan. 2, and through their loss of weight and inches, they have gained strength and confidence.
“Their transformation has been day and night,” said Tasha Rossi, the certified personal trainer at Saint Mary’s Center for Health & Fitness who trains the three women. They’ve improved not only in the sheer numbers like weight lost, inches lost, stamina gained and strength gained, but they’ve all been equipped to succeed even past this competition. That’s what makes it so rewarding, is to see them with the tools to keep this going for the rest of their lives.”
The grand winner of the challenge will be announced Friday, March 8, at 5:30 p.m. at the Saint Mary’s Center for Health & Fitness lobby.
As part of the competition, the three women received free membership, personal training, nutrition consultation and support group help through the 10 weeks. The three women will have their hair done for the press conference courtesy of Salon Lux on 100 California Ave.
