SILVER SPRINGS, Nev. – Lahontan State Recreation Area will be hosting its 18th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Silver Springs day use area on Saturday, March 30. Over 200 local children ages 12 and under participate each year in this event. The event consists of a hunt for plastic Easter eggs filled with candy with a raffle afterwards. 2012 was one of the most successful years with raffle prizes consisting of gift certificates, food vouchers (free tacos) and even toys.
WHAT: 18th Annual Easter Egg Hunt
WHEN: Saturday, March 30, 10 a.m.
WHERE: Silver Springs day use area. Lahontan is located 18 miles west of Fallon and 45 miles east of Carson City. For the event, enter the park from U.S. 50 turning onto U.S. 95A, exiting on Fir Avenue.
WHO: The event is open to the public. Easter egg hunting age groups are: 0-5, 6-9 and 10-12.
COST: The event is free and there will be no entry fee for participants.
