DISCOVERY NEWS RELEASE

231D7E48-E4FC-41F5-A9E9-909A1253F022The Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum (The Discovery) recently launched a new fundraising campaign entitled “5-5-5.” The 5-5-5 program creates the opportunity for 500 members of the community to engage in philanthropy by pledging $500 per year for five years to support the museum’s efforts in the community. 5-5-5 program members receive an attractive list of benefits to recognize their contribution including recognition in the museum.

“As a nonprofit, The Discovery relies heavily on the support of the community to help achieve its mission,” said Nicole Barde, acting executive director. “The support the 5-5-5 program will create is critical to the museum’s long-term goals for impact in our community.”

When fully funded, the 5-5-5 program will raise $1,250,000 of support for The Discovery. The funding the program creates will help the museum keep the admission price affordable for all families, offer free family art and science programming and offer seasonal camp scholarships for motivated students as well as design and build exciting new hands-on exhibits.
