Minister honored by Yerington leaders

On Sunday September 25th, 2011 an award presentation and reception was held at Holy Family Church, in Yerington Nevada.

Rev. Jorge Herrera was presented the recognition of Ohtli-which is the highest award granted by the Government of Mexico to members of the Mexican community or Mexican American in the United States who have contributed exceptionally to the development of the Mexican community abroad.

Rev. Jorge was honored because of his extraordinary work in the Yerington and Lyon County areas. Presenting the award to Father Jorge were the Mexican Consul General from Las Vegas Mariano Lemus Gas and the Community Affairs Consul Atzimba Luna Becerril.

The event was well attended by the community.
