WASHOE DEMS NEWS RELEASE
Pam duPre has been named executive director of the Democratic Party of Washoe County (WashoeDEMS) effective Aug. 1.
This is duPre’s second stint as WashoeDEMS executive director. The 25-year Washoe County resident served in this capacity from 2003 to 2006.
“It’s great to be back with the Democrats as their executive director,” duPre said. “There’s nothing more rewarding than being around so many individuals, mostly volunteers, who are dedicated to the goals and ideals of the Democratic Party.”
DuPre added, “Together, we will spread the word about how Democratic principles support strong working families, a good education for everyone, access to healthcare and civic freedoms.”
After duPre’s tenure as WashoeDEMS ED, she worked as a political director for Hillary Clinton in Nevada. She also covered the 2009 Nevada Legislature for KUNR Radio and has spent the last two years as public information officer for Nevada Secretary of State Ross Miller.
“We welcome Pam back to the WashoeDEMS,” Chair Dorie Guy said, “and we are certain that, with her excellent reputation among officeholders and the media, our party will achieve high esteem and exposure.”
