First-year students from the University of Nevada School of Medicine will honor individuals who participated in the anatomical donation program with a memorial service on Wednesday, May 4. Family and friends of those who donated their bodies to medical research and education are invited to attend the service which will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Walton’s Funeral Home Chapel.
The memorial service follows the medical students’ completion of the year-long anatomy course and provides them the opportunity to show their appreciation and thanks for individuals who donated their bodies to anatomical research and education. Family and friends of donors may attend the service to learn more about the anatomical donation program and to gain a sense of closure for the loss of their loved one.

The anatomical donation program accepts donations from individuals for anatomical research conducted at the University of Nevada School of Medicine.
