CARSON CITY–Gov. Brian Sandoval announced today he has appointed Len Savage of Reno to the Transportation Board of Directors.
“Len brings a fresh perspective to the Transportation Board,” Governor Sandoval said. “Len leads his family’s business, a well-known plumbing company in Reno which holds one of the state’s first contractor’s licenses. As our state moves forward on transportation projects, Len’s long experience with state contracting issues and his solid community connections will provide valuable insight.”
A graduate of Reno High School, Savage holds a B.S. in Business Management and Finance from Santa Clara University. Savage, currently president of Savage and Son Plumbing and Heating, has a state plumbing license. He has been with Savage and Son, an Associated General Contractors member company, for the last 24 years. Prior to joining his family’s business, Len was an estimator and project manager in San Jose.
As a member of the board, Savage will be responsible for working with the governor and other board members to oversee the Department of Transportation.
