The Flood Project will hold a town hall meeting Monday evening to update the community on the proposed Flood Management Authority.
The meeting will include an update on current and future Flood Project activities. It will begin at 6 p.m. in the Washoe County Commission Chambers, 1001 E. Ninth St., Building A, Reno.
An Interlocal Agreement for the new Flood Management Authority is now being set up to manage the Flood Project. A summary and a draft of the 71-page agreement are available on the Flood Project website.
A Flood Project Coordinating Committee workshop will be held Friday as part of the monthly board meeting. Monday’s town hall meeting is an opportunity for members of the public to share their thoughts and ask questions to be forwarded to the board Friday. The workshop will be public and will begin at 9 a.m. at the same address.
