Big Sandy and his Fly-Right Boys headline Extradition Music Festival tonight

The third night of the festival hits the fast-paced notes of rockabilly and western swing with BIG SANDY & HIS FLY-RITE BOYS headlining the show.  The band was recently inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame, and made frequent appearances on celebrity fan Conan O’Brien’s “Late Night with Conan O’Brien.”

LEROY VIRGIL & THE LOADED DICE, Chico-basedTHE CHEATIN’ HEARTS, and local act THE COWBELLEROS will open the show, which will provide a good time and plenty of dancing at one of Reno-Sparks’ newest venues. The night will also serve as a fundraiser for an organization that is as faced-paced and hard-hitting as the Rockabilly and Western Swing acts that will play in the show.  The Battle Born Derby Demons (BBDD) are northern Nevada’s first Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby League, and over the past four years have proven to be a big hit.  The BBDD are a non-profit, community-based amateur sports league, and takes its role as a member of the community seriously, both through fundraisers and volunteer work.
