Nevada Museum of Art offers free family events for the holidays

nmalogo-300x67-7141785-4696036Celebrate the coming holidays with the Nevada Museum of Art as it hosts a series of FREE family events this Saturday, Nov. 28, during the annual CalAve Holiday Stroll held along California Avenue in downtown Reno:

Hands/ON! Family Art Workshop – Design-A-Gift Bag

Saturday, November 28/ 1 to 4:30 pm

Families are invited to create a personalized holiday gift bags. Add glitter, colored paper, and sequins to make your gift bag festive and fun then use them for the holiday to fill with cookies, candy, and presents. Participation for the Hands/ON! Family Art Workshop is free.

Visitors to the Museum will also have the chance to take part in one of four Guided Tours on the same day, offered free with admission:

Guided Tours of Rembrandt: The Embrace of Darkness and Light

Saturday, November 28/ tours begin at 1, 2, 3 and 4 pm

Experience a guided tour of Rembrandt: The Embrace of Darkness and Light and learn more about historical, mythological and Biblical scenes on exhibit. Guided tours are free with paid admission.
