Five events this week: Nevada Day, etc.

Date:

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Brace yourself for demonstrative and energetic youngsters, overly played costumes and oodles of candy. Halloween, celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 31 this year, will be preceded by the best American holiday on the books: Nevada Day. Nevada Day—Saturday, Oct. 28—will be celebrated statewide of course, but the annual parade, held since 1938, begins at 10 a.m. in Carson City.

Prepare to witness beards, rock drilling, horses, brothel employees, would-be and current politicians and ECV drunkards strolling down Carson Street—all the things that scream, “Battle Born!”

There are plenty more listings on our calendar. Be sure to add your events here to be considered for next week’s events preview column. Listings are free, but paid listings get extra exposure.
