Earlier this month, “About Town Deb” presented the Highway 50 Grape to Glass Harvest Roadshow fundraiser for the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation (NNCCF) in partnership with the El Dorado Winery Association, hosted by THE ROW. The purpose of the evening was to have fun, taste wine and sample food while listening to music, and most importantly, to raise money for NNCCF. The evening was a huge success.
There was a silent auction, and raffle tickets were sold to raise funds. One entire wall was lined with wonderful raffle gifts that were given away at the end of the evening. Several wineries from the El Dorado Wine Association were offering tastings of their wines, plus there were sandwiches, pastries and chocolates to be had as well. With art displays, sleight of hand magic and the opportunity to have your photo taken in a casket with the Hangtown Marshals, there was plenty of fun to be had while enjoying the wine and music.
“What a amazing evening was had by one and all as we raised funds
Debbie added that NNCCF’s “Know the Gold” fundraising campaign is also currently underway. ThroughJanuary 31, 2020 all contributions to the campaign will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the William N. PenningtonFoundation, up to $400,000.
