Travelers will soon have another option flying to southern California from Reno-Tahoe International Airport — just in time for the busy holiday season.  California Pacific Airlines, a start-up air carrier focusing on the West Coast, just began service from Reno to Carlsbad McClellan-Palomar Airport.

The non-stop Carlsbad flights will operate four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays on a 50-seat Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft.  Scheduled times are as follows:

RNO – CLD                                                          CLD – RNO

12:30 p.m. departure                                          10:30 a.m. departure

Arrives in Carlsbad at 1:55 p.m                         Arrives in Reno at 12:00 noon

“When the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority was presented with the opportunity to enhance our already strong air service options to southern California, we saw Carlsbad as another viable alternative for a growing northern Nevada community and a great complement to Southwest Airlines’ successful flights between Reno and San Diego,” said Marily Mora, President and CEO of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority.

To celebrate the new service, California Pacific Airlines is offering a variety of low fares on all flights.  Seating is limited and tickets are on sale now.
