Ever finish a book that left you wanting to know why the author wrote the ending they did, or how they came up with those quirky characters in the first place? Well, now you can! Discover the answers to your most pressing literary questions from your favorite authors at the RT Booklovers Convention, Tuesday, May 15 through Sunday May 20, 2018 at the Peppermill Resort and Casino.

“RT Booklovers has been around since 1981. We are a volunteer run event, with over 500 authors in attendance for our 35th event,” said Carol Stacy, Book Reviews Publisher. “We started the convention because founder Kathryn Falk recognized that there wasn’t really a way for writers to interact with each other and for their fans to meet them.”

There will be over 100 workshops at the RT Booklovers Convention, open to all types of literature enthusiasts: authors, readers, bloggers, reviewers, librarians, and booksellers. The daily Author Chats are a major draw for fans. Popular, big-name authors interact with convention-goers in a casual and conversational setting. The audience can ask them questions about their careers, past books, and what they have in the works. There are also excellent writers’ workshops and networking events throughout the week.

“NY Times Bestselling authors will be in attendance such as: Christine Feehan, Anne Bishop, Sylvia Day, Jill Shalvis, Barbara Freethy, Brenda Novak, and Elizabeth Hoyt and they go the extra mile for their readers,” said Stacy.

One of the convention’s most popular events is the themed party Wednesday evening. Guests are encouraged to dress up in their best hippie outfits, enjoy music from the decades, and take part in a wide assortment of themed activities for the Love, Peace, and Romance Celebration. Participants also won’t want to miss the “Goody Room” where free books will be given away along with the chance to win prizes daily throughout the entire event.

Whether you’re a published author, aspiring writer, bookseller, librarian, publisher, agent, a blogger, or simply a reading fan, there is something for everyone at the RT Booklovers Convention. There are day passes and week-long passes available for the event.
