Reno residents gathered in front of the Bruce R. Thompson Federal Building in downtown Reno to take part in the nationwide March for or Lives event to demand action on firearms legislation.

Thousands of people marched to the Reno City Plaza where speakers addressed the crowd. These ranged from local high school students to survivors of the mass shooting at the Harvest Festival in Las Vegas.

Weather conditions challenged participants as it swung from sunny skies to blowing snow. Unlike other marches across the nation no counter-protesters were on hand.
