Standard Management Company (SMC) will have donation jars at their ten properties in Nevada for residents and guests to donate to the Nevada Humane Society. For all donations accumulated, SMC will also match a percentage of these funds and donate in the form of additional monetary donations or pet supplies, including toys, beds, and food.
“The goal of our partnership with the Nevada Humane Society is to promote pets finding good homes,” said Tony Kuper, Director of Residential Operations at SMC. “At Standard Management Company we provide a pet-friendly apartment community so that no pet has to be given away because of their living environment.”
Approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter animal shelters every year. SMC wants to give back to the pets in the community that are in need of a home.
Leading the way in animal sheltering and stewardship, the Nevada Humane Society is the only open-admission, no-kill shelter in the state. Their mission is to care for pets, find them homes, and save lives. The goal is to provide pets with a happy and healthy life, while working to find them a safe home and loving family. They strive to educate and engage the community, and the staff uses the guiding principles of promoting humane treatment for all animals.
“In working towards an apartment community that saves animals at risk, Standard Management Company values the lives of all pets and wants to do our part in giving back. Partnering with the Nevada Humane Society is the perfect opportunity,” said Kuper.
