If you haven’t been to a soccer game in Reno, you’re missing out.

Reno 1868 FC, the city’s new professional soccer team, made their United Soccer League debut in March 2017. They are currently partnered with the San Jose Earthquakes. Already they’ve made United Soccer League history this year by having the largest win margin.

The games, at Greater Nevada Field (Aces Stadium), are a great place for date night or a family outing. They have a variety of food and drinks, including burgers, hot dogs, and local microbrews. Bring your blanket and lay out on the grass or relax in one of the stadium seats. At the end of the match enjoy music and fireworks.

There are plenty of opportunities for kids to participate in the game itself. Kids can be part of the coin toss, collect soccer balls during the match, escort players on the field, and more. More information on how they can participate can be found on the team’s website.

Games continue through October and a schedule is available online at http://www.reno1868fc.com/. Local businesses also host “watch parties” with food and drink specials where fans can come together and watch away games together. That schedule can be found on the website also.
