The DeLuxe, formerly Café DeLuxe, hosted a grand re-opening last Thursday night. Now located inside the West Street Market at 148 West Street, the eatery also features a new menu, which mixes the best of their old menu with new influences. Specials at the celebration included $2 kimchi tacos and $4 local beers.
The DeLuxe is an organic restaurant, focusing on local and organic foods. They blend old traditions with emphasis on farm-to-table dining. Almost all of their dishes can be made vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free; however, they have something for everyone.
“The DeLuxe is about union; old with new, carnivore with herbivore, foodie with traditionalist,” boasts their website. They are kid-friendly too, and have both indoor and outdoor seating.
The new menu consists of small plates such as kimchi tacos and tempura fries in addition to a variety of salads, sandwiches, burritos or bowls, and soups. They also have a menu for kids and host brunch which offers up egg tacos, sandwiches, burritos, and French toast. A full menu is on their website at: http://deluxereno.com/.
