The Reno Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA) posted today a meeting agenda that announces the RSCVA board’s intention to consider a replacement for CEO and President Christopher Baum.

The meeting, scheduled for Friday at 8 a.m., contains agenda items for the “review, discussion and possible action regarding whether to enter a separation agreement thereby terminating the employment agreement dated February 3, 2015 with the President & CEO Christopher Baum, Without Cause Pursuant to Section 3.2.1.1 of the Employment Agreement…”

The next agenda item is a review and discussion to appoint an interim president/CEO, followed by an item for the selection of a permanent president and CEO.

It’s not clear whether the discussions are for termination of Baum by the board or a resignation by Baum.

Baum was not available for comment, according to a spokesperson for RSCVA.

A request for comment was left Bob Lucey, Washoe County commissioner and RSCVA board chair.

The meeting will be held at 4001 South Virginia Street, Suite G.
