Fatality Confirmed After Pedestrian Hit by Car on Stead Boulevard

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle last night in Stead, and Reno Police are seeking witnesses to the accident.

The deceased was identified this morning as Stephen Busby, 26, of Reno.

A motorist was traveling south on Stead Boulevard and struck Busby at the intersection of Stead and Sagewood Drive. It is not known if Busby was in the crosswalk of the intersection at the time of the accident.

The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with police.

Police believe that other pedestrians were in the area just before the accident and are asking them to come forward as witnesses.
