voteheresign-300x282-9057866-2081010The Washoe County Registrar’s Office is encouraging the public to register to vote for the 2016 election season.

“Voter registration has ramped up recently at many locations within Washoe County. Voter registration is being sponsored by several different organizations that are either political or nonpartisan,” said the county in a press statement. “If you’ve moved since you last voted, it’s important that your address be updated to reflect that change. Without the correct address on file, you might actually end up voting for elected officials that don’t represent you.”

Registration can be done through the Registrar’s Office at 1001 E. Ninth St, Bldg. A, at the DMV or online at www.registertovotenv.gov.

Voter status in Washoe County may be check on the Washoe County Registrar’s website at www.washoecounty.us/voters or by calling 775-328-3670.
