From the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA), a new exhibit has debuted at the National Automobile Museum that highlights the history of blue jeans in pop culture.
“Denim: Cool Rags and Rides” will run through November 6th and feature a display of rare blue jeans from as early as the late 1800s, a special Levi’s edition 1974 Gremlin with denim upholstery and the oroginial, 1949 Mercury from “Rebel Without a Cause.”
“The fact that the world’s most popular item of clothing was invented in the heart of downtown Reno is a fact worth celebrating,” according to Christopher Baum, president and CEO of the RSCVA. “We’re delighted to kick off that celebration with this terrific display of rare artifacts at one of our world class museums.”
