Craft Wine & Beer hosts a flash sale Friday, August 14 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. offering general admission CANFEST tickets for $25, regularly $35. Craft will give away one free can of beer with the purchase of a general admission ticket and two free canned beers with the purchase of a VIP ticket. The flash sale will run in tandem with Craft’s sale, 20 percent off all canned beer purchased to go. The staff from Oskar Blues brewery will be onsite to talk about the new IPA that will be released at CANFEST.
“We have a lot of brews, but never had a real IPA,” said Brad Torbeck, regional representative of Oskar Blues. “I’ve been coming to CANFEST for years now and it’s just a great opportunity to release our new products to beer fans while having a good time. We always enter our beer in the brewer’s competition and it goes well for us.
In light of popular demand for craft beer, CANFEST, the world’s largest canned beer festival, returns August 29 at Peppermill Resort Spa Casino. Now in its seventh year, CANFEST continues to be the ultimate platform for brewers to earn notoriety for unconventional beers and will introduce new beers from the likes of Samuel Adams and Oskar Blues Brewery.
The event introduces small brewers nationwide to distributors from around the West. Proceeds of the event also benefit nonprofit community partner, The Reno Bike Project. The Reno Bike Project is a non-profit bicycle shop that recycles used bikes back into the community.
“We want the community to be the focal point of everything that we do.” said Constance Aguilar of CANFEST. “The Reno Bike Project is the perfect beneficiary for our event and we like to help them meet their goals as much as we can—ticket sales are a huge part of that!”
CANFEST will host more than 50 international brewers serving beer and cider directly from the signature aluminum cans they’re packaged in. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit canfestbeer.com.
