“Over the last few years, the Reno Police Department has experienced a continual reduction in arrests with this year being significantly lower than just last year’s.  Simply put, we had no issues this year.  The large crowds we saw in the downtown venue were filled with pleasant, classic car enthusiasts who were here to enjoy the event,” said the Reno Police Department’s Traffic and Special Events Lt. Scott Dugan.  “RPD’s philosophy is to be highly visible and promote positive crowd interactions received a lot of praise from this year’s attendees and it really complements Hot August Night’s goal to make this a safe and successful event.”
