Spring Wings FestivalFALLON -– The annual Spring Wings Festival, hosted by the Stillwater National Wildlife Refuge and Friends of Stillwater NWR, celebrates the migration of shorebird and waterfowl through the Lahontan Valley Saturday, May 16, 2015, from 10 a.m.to 3 p.m. starting in the Churchill County multipurpose building on 225 Sheckler Road.

The family friendly event features educational activities, which all pay tribute to nature. Participants go on guided tours with birding and wetland experts, visit interactive exhibits, see exclusive demonstrations and learn more about wetland wildlife through hands-on activities.

“This event sparks an interest in nature, as well as the importance of conservation,” said Rick Gray, executive director at the Fallon Convention and Tourism Authority. “Northern Nevadans are granted the opportunity to view vast amounts of wildlife in one of the most environmentally impactful wetlands on the West Coast.”
