Shooting Leaves One Dead; Police Seek Suspect

Officers responded last night to 3304 South McCarran Boulevard on the report of a shooting. Two males were involved in a confrontation inside a business as one of them called the other one outside.

After exiting the business, one of the males shot a victim identified as Steve Petersdorf of Reno.

REMSA transported the victim to Renown Medical Center where he died.

It was determined by police that the shooter was Edward Jose. He was last seen driving a 2013 dark gray metallic, 4 door, Dodge Ram pick-up truck with NV plates 532LSX.

After the shooting, Jose made suicidal statements to a witness. His whereabouts are unknown.
