Art Walk Reno Comes to Reno Arts District
On April 2, the First Thursday Art Walk is happening in the Downtown Art District. The fun begins at 5 p.m. at Liberty Fine Art Gallery, 100 W. Liberty Street. There will be group exhibits on display at Liberty, Art Indeed!, and Noble Pie Parlor. You’ll also want to check out art from Melissa Melero at Sierra Arts Gallery, prints by Amelia Currier at Artspace in West Street Market, and Paula Rie Bonham’s series of “Horses,” which fills Singer Social Club.
Ten dollars gets you a glass, raffle ticket, and program of the evenings events and exhibits. Fifteen dollars gets you all of the above, plus a hand-painted, limited edition glass from April’s featured artist, Zoe Murkovich, a nine year old artist making a name for herself. Her art is currently on display at McKinley Center Gallery East.
Raffle prizes will be given at the end of the art walk at 8:15 p.m. at Noble Pie Parlor. A portion of this month’s proceeds will benefit the art department of Coral Academy of Science, as they are raising funds to purchase a ceramic kiln.
