The Sierra Nevada Amateur Radio Society will hold its Spring Technician License Class at the Washoe Regional Emergency Operations Center on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.
This 7 week course will prepare students to earn their Amateur Radio Technician Class License along with learning topics in electronics, radio communications, radio propagation, antennas, feedlines, amateur radio equipment and an overview of the FCC rules and regulations.
Students attending will need to purchase the course book “Ham Radio License Manual, Third Edition” and pay a small registration fee to cover printing and lab expenses. The book may be purchased via the ARRL at http://www.arrl.org/shop/ARRL-Ham-Radio-License-Manual-3rd-Edition/ or from any online book retailers.
The examinations will be provided to students the last night of the course.
