Sheriff’s Office Updates Investigation of Fatal Accident

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal accident that occurred Monday morning on McCarran Boulevard north of Mill Street.

The accident took place at about 6:40 a.m. A white Kia SUV was traveling south on McCarran when it crossed a raised median and collided head-on with a red Cadillac sedan that was traveling northbound.

The driver of the Kia was determined dead at the scene. The two occupants of the Cadillac, a female driver and a male passenger, were transported to a local hospital.

The Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office has positively identified the victim as Paul Steven Williams, 67, of Sparks.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking for help from anyone who may have witnessed this accident. Call 775-328-3350.
