University of Nevada’s Cooperative Extension is teaming up with Washoe County Parks to offer free gardening programs in February and March, 2015. The programs begin at 6 p.m. each Tuesday in the park’s Western Heritage Interpretive Center. Programs are about two hours.

- March 3 – Training and Pruning Fruit Trees by Michael Janik
- March 10 – Paying it Forward through Sustainable Gardening by Pamela Van Hoozer
- March 17 – GMOs: Facts and Fallacies by Heidi Kratsch
- March 24 – Successful Vegetable Gardening Part 1 by Randy Robison
- March 31 – Successful Vegetable Gardening Part 2 by Randy Robison
