HENDERSON — The Senate Republican Caucus today announced the appointment of Claire Clift to Secretary of the Nevada State Senate. Clift previously served in this position from 2000 to 2010.
“Claire will be a tremendous asset to the Senate,” Senator Michael Roberson said. “She was successful as the steward of the Nevada State Senate for 10 years, and I’m confident she will once again excel in this capacity.”
Prior to her selection as the Secretary of the Senate in 2000 by Senator Bill Raggio, Clift worked in the 1987 and 1989 sessions and began serving in a full-time capacity with the Senate in 1997. “Claire was selected as a result of her comprehensive understanding of the Nevada State Senate,” Roberson said.
“I am honored and humbled to be afforded the opportunity to once again serve as the Secretary of the Nevada State Senate,” Clift said. “I look forward to working with the members and Senate’s amazing session staff.”
