Materials for recycled art contest available at the Bryan Building in Carson City, Friday October 3

CARSON CITY — The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection is making materials available to participants in the statewide Recycled Art Contest. Recyclables, including plastic bottles, newspapers, aluminum cans and steel cans, may be picked-up in the lobby of the Bryan Building, 901 S. Stewart Street, Carson City, on Friday, October 3rd. Please call 775-687-9466 to schedule a time to pick-up materials.

“The contest is designed to encourage Nevadans to explore the broad variety of recyclables through the creation of recycled art,” said Colleen Cripps, Administrator of the Division of Environmental Protection.

The art contest is open to all Nevada residents. Projects must be composed of used recyclable materials. Submission of entry form and photos of artwork are due by October 31, 2014. Winners will be announced prior to America Recycles Day, November 15. More information about the contest, submission guidelines and prizes is available at NevadaRecycles.nv.gov.
