Hi, friends,
As many of you know, I was hoping to run for mayor of Reno this year. But the state Supreme Court ended that plan. So what to do now? Although there are 20 candidates on the ballot, I think the choice is clear. I wanted to let you know that I wholeheartedly endorse Hillary Schieve.
Hillary is the only candidate who has a record of fighting for the people at City Hall. She’s only been there for 16 months, but has already saved taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars and has shown she is not afraid to speak out against entrenched interests. Hillary has a life story of resilience and dedication that took her from Olympic figure-skating dreams to successful small businesswoman who was named “Entrepreneur of the Year.”
In her short time on the council, Hillary has shown a passion for the job and fought against wasteful spending while establishing herself as a people’s champion. Hillary loves Reno and has a unique feel for what will help residents and business alike. She will bring the same passion to the mayoralty as she has to every facet of her life. I couldn’t be more proud to endorse her, and I hope you will join me.
