KNPB hosts “Aged to Perfection” wine auction

atp-wine-clock-graphic-6clock-300x300-2469682-9490094WHAT: KNPB Public Broadcasting is hosting a live on-air auction featuring more than $45,000 in fine wine, including hard-to-find vintages, along with unique travel packages and the return of last year’s viewer favorite, “the mystery pick”.

WHERE: KNPB Channel 5.1 and KNPB Create Channel 5.2

WHY: Proceeds from the live TV auction help support KNPB programs and services utilized throughout the northern Nevada and northeastern California communities. This year, the KNPB Programming budget is nearly $840,000. The majority of these costs allows KNPB to be part of the PBS family and help provide national program offerings as well as educational services to the community. One such service is KNPB PBS Learning Media that includes more than 35,000 educational resources for teachers across the state. KNPB is focused on getting this material into classrooms, up on computer screens and downloaded onto smart phones across Nevada to enhance learning for people of all ages.

Special on-air guests include: Dr. Kosta Arger , Dr. Lynn Leary, Curtis Worrall, Tim Jones, and Tony Manfredi.
