blm_logo-300x261-5728290-3196420The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Forest Service will be holding a series of public workshops in December to provide information on the Nevada and Northeastern California Sub-Regional Greater Sage-grouse Draft Land Use Plan Amendments and Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DLUP/DEIS). The workshops will be held on December 3-5 and December 9-12 at locations in Nevada and California from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Written comments will be accepted at the workshops and there will be information on how to submit electronic comments through the ePlanning website.

“We encourage people with questions on the Draft EIS to come to the workshops and get more information,” said Joe Tague, BLM Nevada Branch Chief for Renewable Resources and Planning. “We would also like to remind people that while they are reviewing the document and preparing their comments, they should be focusing on the entire region as opposed to zeroing in on specific local areas.”

The workshop schedule is as follows:

Dec. 3- Four Seasons Building, Modoc County Fairgrounds, 1 Center Street, Cedarville, CA

Dec. 4- Jensen Hall, Lassen County Fairgrounds, 195 Russell Ave., Susanville, CA

Dec. 5- Homewood Suites, 5450 Keitzke Ln., Reno, NV

Dec. 9- Tonopah Convention Center, 301 Brougher Ave., Tonopah, NV

Dec. 10- Bristlecone Convention Center, 150 Sixth St., Ely, NV

Dec. 11- Shilo Inn, 2401 Mountain City Hwy., Elko, NV

Dec. 12- Winnemucca Inn, 741 W. Winnemucca Blvd., Winnemucca, NV
