Virginia City to honor veterans at annual parade

militaryflag-300x199-7454778-6796666At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, Virginia City holds its annual Veterans Day Parade to honor those who have served and currently serve our country. This year’s grand marshal is local Korean War Veteran Floyd Seymour. Seymour holds several medals for his service.

The parade, held Monday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m., takes place along C Street – the town’s main drive.

Immediately following the parade a spaghetti feed is held at the Storey County Senior Center at 100 Mill St. in Virginia City. All servicemen and -women are invited to attend.
