Dolan Auto Group, northern Nevada new and used Toyota, Scion, Lexus and Mazda-Kia dealer, is the title sponsor of the 2013 Triple-A All-Star Game being held at Aces Ballpark in downtown Reno on July 17. To commemorate, Dolan Auto Group is hosting several events around the city, offering free food, game tickets and vehicle previews.
On Saturday, July 13, Dolan Auto Group will host a FREE Fanfest BBQ at Reno Toyota, 2100 Kietzke Lane, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The community will be treated to hamburgers and hot dogs, as well as complimentary tickets to the All-Star Fanfest presented by Reno-Tahoe USA on July 13 and 14 at Aces Ballpark.
“This is an exciting event for northern Nevada, especially since the events will be televised nationally,” Ryan Dolan, CEO of Dolan Automotive Group said. “Being able to get the community involved in All-Star Week has been a lot of fun for us and welook forward to seeing everyone at Saturday’s free BBQ.”
Earlier this week, Dolan Auto Group awarded two local Little League teams with an unforgettable home run derby package. Cal Ripken Spanish Springs 11-70’s All-Star Team won a bullpen party at the home run derby and Fanfest tickets by submitting a photo of their team to the Dolan Auto Group Facebook page. The team then recruited family, friends, and community members to vote for their photo. In one week, the team received 896 votes.
The team had close competition from the Sparks Centennial All-Star Team, with 887 votes. Family members of the All-Star Team took to the Dolan Auto Group Facebook page to let the family know how hard they worked – hanging around at local grocery stores, calling family members and recruiting parents to ask their friends to ask for critical votes. The Dolans were so impressed with the team’s efforts they decided to award them with tickets to the home run derby.
“We were very touched by the efforts of players and parents from both teams. It was obvious that they both really wanted to win the contest and Dolan Auto Group is very excited to be able to give this opportunity to so many hard working young adults,” Dolan said.
Throughout the week, Dolan Auto Group is giving away All-Star packages, consisting of tickets to Fanfest, home run derby, and the All-Star Game in a special Social Scavenger Hunt. Each day, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., clues are posted onto Dolan Auto Group’s Facebook page giving the location of a 2014 Lexus IS250. The first person to find the car, wins the grand prize. Thus far, winners have found the vehicle at Wild Island, Peccole Park and the Old Moana Stadium. The scavenger hunt will run through Friday.
