CARSON TAHOE NEWS RELEASE

ToastCARSON CITY–Carson Tahoe Women’s Health Institute is pleased to announce the launch of “Toast”–a multi-faceted online campaign aimed to celebrate, educate and engage women in northern Nevada.

The campaign is anchored via an online blog, www.ToastCarsonTahoe.com, which extends from the Carson Tahoe website, www.carsontahoe.com. Blending both anecdotal and professional advice, “Toast” will offer visitors a daily dose of engaging health, lifestyle, current events and fashion topics as well as engage with women online through Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram. The site, designed by K. Sutherland PR, will also spotlight “Toastworthy” community leaders, local events and activities.

“Toast” encourages and accepts event submissions from organizations in the area to be featured on the site. Email [email protected].

“We recognized an opportunity to engage with our community on a different, more fun and casual level,” said Cheri Glockner, director of marketing at Carson Tahoe Health. “With blogs being one of the most influential emerging media outlets used by women, “Toast” allows us to celebrate and connect with women in our own community through online platforms that they’re currently using.”

Users can navigate the “Toast” blog though a variety of navigation categories, which include:

o Pregnancy & Parenting, a category featuring articles and information pertaining to soon-to-be and recently delivered moms. Content will feature pre and post-natal information and education, mom and birth testimonials as well as information about caring for small children.

o Midlife and Beyond, a category providing information and guidance to women facing midlife health challenges which include hormonal changes, increased health risks due to age and general health issues such as intimacy, empty nesting and weight loss.

o Crumbs and Bits, where readers can find healthy recipes with full nutritional information as well as general fun entertaining/lifestyle tips, checklists (like what to pack for a weekend up at the lake) and healthy dining options in the area.

o A Toast! A section on “Toast” spotlighting individuals in the community who make a difference. “A Toast” celebrates the variety of individuals who make our area a great place to live.

o Hear it From the Dr., a category to feature articles, question and answer topics and content straight from Carson Tahoe Health physicians and healthcare professionals.

o What’s Going On? This section highlights events hosted by the Carson Tahoe Women’s Health Institute as well as community events in the surrounding area; there’s also a field for readers and community members to submit an event to be featured on “Toast.”

“Toast” plans to extend beyond the web and into the community with a variety of educational and community involvement opportunities offered at the Women’s Health Institute. For more information, or to get your daily dose of “Toast”, visit www.ToastCarsonTahoe.com.
