AMERICAN RED CROSS NEWS RELEASE – The 10th Annual American Red Cross Real Heroes nomination deadline has been extended to February 27, 2013. You can help the Red Cross identify those that have made a difference through their courage, kindness, and unselfish character to help a friend, family member, community member, or complete stranger when they were needed most! If someone is a hero in your eyes, the Red Cross encourages you to nominate them for the 10th Annual Real Heroes Breakfast.
Every day we are surrounded by heroes – whether it’s at work, at play, at home or simply out and about in the community. And the Reno/Carson City/ Tahoe area certainly has no lack of them! As the community leader in emergency preparedness, prevention, and response, the American Red Cross is proud to honor these individuals and groups.
These heroes will be recognized in ten different categories: Adult Good Samaritan, Youth Good Samaritan, Animal, Education, Law Enforcement, Firefighter, Medical, Military, Community Impact, and Community Service, at the 10th Anniversary of the Real Heroes Breakfast presented by Nevada State Bank on March 28, 2013, at the Atlantis Casino and Spa.
You can nominate your hero by going to www.redcross.org/
