The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Tonopah Field Office is seeking public involvement in the National Public Lands Day (NPLD) clean-up project at the Crescent Dunes Recreation Area on September 29.  The recreation area is located 14 miles northwest of Tonopah, Nev., and receives significant public use as a camping area and off-highway vehicle play area.

Join the BLM and fellow recreation lovers to clean-up litter and debris around the staging and camping areas, clean out fire rings, and install new entrance and welcome signs.

Participants are asked to meet at the Tonopah Field Office, 1553 S. Main St., Tonopah NV at 8:00 a.m.  The clean-up will run from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.  Lunch will be provided. Advanced signups would be preferable to insure enough food for everyone.

National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands American’s enjoy.

If you are interested in participating or need more information, please call Bruce Andersen at 775- 482-7844 or email him at[email protected].
