Sierra Front-Northwestern Great Basin Resource Advisory Council to meet Sept. 27-28

blm_logo-300x261-8658399-6644195Carson City, NV. – In accordance with the Federal Land Policy and Management Act and the Federal Advisory Committee Act of 1972 (FACA), a meeting of the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management-Nevada (BLM) Sierra Front-Northwestern Great Basin Resource Advisory Council (RAC) will be held as indicated below. Members of the public and media are cordially invited to attend.

The council will meet on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., at the BLM Winnemucca District Office, 5100 East Winnemucca Blvd., Winnemucca, Nevada. The public may present general written and/or oral comments to the RAC in Winnemucca at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday. On Friday, Sept. 28, the RAC will participate in a field tour to various fire rehabilitation areas within the Winnemucca BLM District including the 2011 China Garden Fire area and 2012 Montana Mountains/Bilk Creek Mountains. Members of the public are invited to participate on the field tour, but they will need to provide their own transportation, overnight accommodations and food/drinks.
