Forest Service accepting comments for Fallen Leaf Lake Access and Travel Management Plan

usfs-logo-282x300-1567689-3116731South Lake Tahoe, Calif.  –The U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit is seeking public input on the Fallen Leaf Lake Trail Access and Travel Management Plan.  The proposed plan would improve the recreational experience for residents and visitors, while protecting natural, cultural and historic resources.  Comments will be accepted through October 12, 2012.

A public meeting will be held from 6-8 p.m., on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at the Forest Supervisor’s Office, 35 College Drive, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150.  Staff will explain the proposed action and alternatives, and discuss how the Forest Service addressed comments received during public scoping and answer questions.  For requests for reasonable accommodation for the public meeting, please contact Adrian Escobedo, Forest Civil Rights Officer, for further information at (530) 543-2758 or[email protected].
