Have you ever wanted build your own professional website but didn’t know where to start? Are you tired of the typical look and feel of a blog? Join the Reno Collective team Saturday, November 19, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, for an educational workshop into the realm of WordPress.

During the six-hour WordPress Crash Course, you will be instructed step-by-step how to utilize WordPress to look and act like a professional webpage. You will learn methods of installation, optimization, adding features, installing themes and plugins, E-commerce and content management. The best part, programming and/or graphic design skills are not a prerequisite! Beginner WordPressers and non-techies are encouraged to sign-up.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided along with coffee breaks throughout the day. So what will you need? Attendees are required to have a laptop (PC or Mac), a modern web browser (Firefox, Safari, Chrome or Internet Explorer) and installed FTP Program (PC: FileZilla or SmartFTP, Mac: Cyberduck). The cost for the course is $249. A small fraction of what you would be paying a developer to build your site.

Instructor for this course will be Colin Loretz. Loretz is founder of the Reno Collective and has been a WordPress user since 2006. As part of Lively Labs, Loretz has developed numerous WordPress sites for hotels, casinos and ski resorts. He is a firm believer that all WordPress websites don’t have to look like blogs. Even Reno Collective’s official website is run off WordPress!
