Next RCO concerts October 15 and 16

The next concerts of the RCO’s 2011-12 season are coming up on Saturday, October 15 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 16 at 2:00 p.m. at UNR’s Nightingale Concert Hall.

Wendy Warner, one of the world’s most acclaimed cellists and a featured performer at the RCO’s Nevada Chamber Music Festival, performs Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 1 with Maestro Theodore Kuchar and the Orchestra. She’ll be joined by RCO principal cellist Peter Lenz in Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Cellos. Also on the program: Weiner’s Divertimento No. 1 and Haydn’s Symphony No. 86.

Remember that everyone age 18 and younger, and all full-time students, can hear RCO performances for just $5.

Wendy Warner master class October 14

Wendy Warner will be giving a free public master class at Nightingale Concert Hall at the University of Nevada, Reno on Friday, October 14 from 2-4 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.
